Jul 09, 2014 NIC Port Teaming Server 2008 R2. I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 on our Dell PowerEdge R720 servers. They have 4 ports per server using Broadcom NetXtreme NICs. I am wondering how I can team the ports for better performance. As far as I know, only Server 2012 can do NIC teaming without 3rd party software. NIC teaming Hyper-V 2008 R2. Purpose
