Hp Laserjet 4p Win7 Driver
- 4P worked with Vista(32). Win7 Compatibility Center says 4P and Win7(64) compatible. Installed Win7 Home Premium. 4P doesn't print. With printer disconnected, install 4P driver with 'Add a printer.'
- Once that is done, add your printer, and when you are asked to install the driver, click on Have Disk, and browse to the folder 7-Zip created>prnhp001, and select the HP LaserJet 4 printer from the list, and the driver should install.
- This document applies to HP LaserJet, HP LaserJet Pro, HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP Officejet Enterprise, and HP PageWide Enterprise printer models. For another HP Printer model such as a Deskjet, Officejet Pro, or Photosmart, go to Windows 7 Compatible Printers.

However, when accessing the default set of printer drivers on a newly built Windows 7 install, this printer will not feature in the list. So you click the Windows Update button and then the Microsoft site reports..
'Windows was unable to get a list of devices from Windows Update. Please try again later.' ..so here I am 3 days of trying later and non the wiser.
Can anyone help?
